The world’s longest-running and most influential cryptocurrency event, Consensus, will return to Hong Kong from February 10–12, 2026, reaffirming the city’s position as Asia’s gateway for global crypto, AI, and blockchain innovation. Produced by CoinDesk, the industry’s most trusted media and events platform, the mega-conference is expected to be the most ambitious edition yet.
Building on last year’s sold-out gathering—which drew nearly 10,000 attendees from over 100 countries and generated an estimated HK$275 million for the local economy—the 2026 installment aims to welcome 15,000 participants. With the next wave of blockchain, AI, and Web3 adoption accelerating across the region, the event is poised to catalyze major deals, partnerships, and cross-border innovation.
“The overwhelming success of Consensus Hong Kong 2025 was a testament to Hong Kong’s status as a leading global FinTech hub,” said Michael Lau, Chairman of Consensus. “This city has shown the need for a world-class conference. We’re returning with an even larger platform to host the most prominent voices in blockchain, Web3, and AI.”
Held on the largest floor of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, the 2026 event will feature expanded exhibition space, curated meeting zones, developer and startup competitions, and the signature networking experiences that have become Consensus hallmarks.
The five-stage program will spotlight global leaders and frontier debates through summits on Bitcoin, institutional adoption, AI and robotics, and Asia’s rising leadership in digital assets. Speakers include Solana Foundation President Lily Liu, Binance CEO Richard Teng, TRON Founder Justin Sun, YZI Labs Head Ella Zhang, and Bitmain’s President of Mining Gao.
A recent Consensus report found that 24.3% of adults in Asia now use digital assets—far above the global average of 16.9%—highlighting the region’s rapid mainstreaming of crypto. Accordingly, Consensus Hong Kong has earned the moniker “Crypto’s Gateway to Asia,” functioning as a vital bridge for East–West exchange.
With meticulously designed meeting spaces, curated side events, and an integrated tech platform for connections, attendees routinely compress “three months of meetings into three days,” according to surveys from previous years. Networking and business development remain the top draw.
The 2026 edition will also feature immersive cultural and technological experiences: official opening and closing parties in Central, curated tours of Shenzhen’s innovation corridors, exclusive access to the Happy Valley Racecourse for “The Consensus Cup,” and more than 300 side events across the city.
Consensus Hong Kong 2026 is expected not only to shape the year’s biggest conversations in digital assets, but also to further anchor Hong Kong as a global center of fintech, frontier tech, and cross-cultural innovation.
