Dubai is becoming a new hotspot for crypto innovation, and HashKey is the latest major player to move in.

Hong Kong-based digital asset firm HashKey Group has announced plans to establish Dubai as its regional hub for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The move marks a significant step in the company’s global expansion strategy and reflects the growing importance of Dubai as a leading destination for crypto businesses.

HashKey is one of Asia’s most prominent crypto financial service providers, operating under full regulatory licenses in Hong Kong. With a presence already strong in Asia, the firm is now looking west to tap into Dubai’s rapidly developing Web3 ecosystem.

According to the company, Dubai’s progressive crypto regulations, government support for blockchain innovation, and its central geographic location make it an ideal base for MENA operations. The UAE has been attracting several global crypto exchanges and blockchain companies with its crypto-friendly framework, offering an alternative to stricter environments in other parts of the world.

“Dubai has become a global crypto hub thanks to its clear regulatory landscape and forward-thinking approach. We’re excited to make Dubai our regional base to serve clients across the MENA region,” said a HashKey spokesperson.

The company’s expansion into Dubai will include offering institutional-grade crypto services such as trading, custody, asset management, and tokenisation, which have already gained traction in Asia.

HashKey’s decision aligns with a broader trend where leading crypto firms are setting up shop in the UAE. The country’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) has been actively issuing licenses to crypto firms and encouraging innovation in the sector.

Experts believe this move could boost crypto adoption and investment across the Middle East. With demand for regulated, secure, and scalable crypto solutions rising, HashKey aims to position itself as a trusted player in the region.

The company is expected to roll out services from its Dubai hub in the coming months.

As Dubai continues to attract top crypto talent and infrastructure, HashKey’s move reinforces the UAE’s growing status as a global center for digital finance and Web3 development.
