Zetrix, a layer-1 public blockchain platform, has introduced an innovative application that allows for the digital authentication and verification of official identities of Chinese nationals abroad. This development aims to create a streamlined, efficient, and secure verification process for both verifiers and identity holders.

According to Zetrix, the ZCert service enhances and simplifies the electronic Know-Your-Customer (KYC) procedures for organizations outside of China that seek to confirm the validity of the information contained in the digital IDs presented by Chinese nationals.

This groundbreaking service has been made feasible through Zetrix’s unique connection to China’s national public blockchain, Xinghuo BIF.

“Chinese nationals have the option to publish their digital IDs on Xinghuo BIF, allowing verifying entities outside of China to access this data via the ZCert service on Zetrix.

“We are genuinely enthusiastic about the launch of this cross-border digital ID service, as it opens the door to a new array of services driven by smart contracts. Additionally, user data remains under the control of the users at all times, with only essential information shared in an encrypted format,” stated Zetrix co-founder TS Wong.

The introduction of the Chinese Digital IDs verification service represents the latest advancement in ZCert, following the recent launch of a service that enables the digitization and overseas verification of Chinese driving licenses.

It is anticipated that the ZCert cross-border credentials verification service will be gradually expanded in the upcoming months to encompass other vital documents for individuals and businesses.
