The Tribeca Film Festival and OKX, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, are partnering to launch the first-ever Tribeca Festival 2023 NFT pass. The NFT pass serves as a unique piece of art and a VIP pass to the festival, which takes place in New York City from June 17 to 18.
Here’s what we know:
The VIP NFT pass grants access to exclusive experiences, including special screenings and parties with Tribeca co-founders Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro. The pass can be purchased on the Tribeca Festival website with a credit card or the OKX NFT marketplace with ETH. The pass can also be stored in an OKX wallet.
There are 500 Tribeca passes available for the 2023 festival, scheduled to take place from June 7-18 in Lower Manhattan. The scenery in the festival area was used as the inspiration for the artwork on the NFT passes.
“It’s exciting we’ve partnered with the Tribeca team to introduce a first-of-its-kind NFT pass,” said OKX Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique. “This allows festival goers to experience Web3 and ways to build on this unique technology.”
He further says the exchange plans to use the Tribeca sponsorship to help educate filmmakers and fans on how to use cryptocurrency and related Web3 technologies responsibly, as opposed to the current focus on short-term speculation.
Tribeca has partnered with AWA Studios and award-winning comic illustrator Jonathan Bartlett to create the art for the pass, inspired by the landscapes of Lower Manhattan, where the festival is located.
With the Tribeca Festival’s years of success and OKX’s expertise in Web3 technology, this NFT pass is sure to offer a unique and innovative experience for festivalgoers.
